03 — Method
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F) on convection, roll out the pizza dough and cut into long thin strips.
- Wrap the strips around each frankfurter, crisscrossing irregularly, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes.
- Place on the parchment-lined sheet and brush with egg yolk.
- Bake about 15 minutes until the dough is golden and crisp and the sausages hot through.
- Out of the oven, put two small dots of mustard in the gap and stick a peppercorn on each for eyes.
- Serve hot with bowls of mustard and ketchup for dipping.
