These terms govern the use of the Le Chaudron mobile application (“the App”) and of the lechaudron.app website (“the Site”), together referred to as “the Services”. The Services offer cooking recipes, AI-assisted generation features, and the ability for users to submit their own content. By using the Services, you accept these terms.
Creating an account requires a valid email address (or a Google or Apple sign-in) and a minimum age of 15. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity carried out from your account.
You may submit recipes, photos, videos, comments and ratings. By submitting them, you guarantee that:
All submitted content goes through moderation (automated and/or human) before publication. We may refuse, remove or edit any content, and suspend an account in case of abuse.
You keep all your rights to your content. You grant us, free of charge, on a non-exclusive basis, worldwide and for as long as it is published, the right to reproduce, display, adapt, translate and distribute it, in whole or in part, on:
This license is strictly limited to these uses. It does not allow us to transfer your content to a third party, or to sell it separately. Your username is displayed next to your content wherever it appears.
You may ask at any time for content you have published to be removed, by writing to us at [email protected].
For readability and consistency, content you submit may be corrected and adapted before or after publication: spelling and grammar corrections, formatting of quantities and units, completing the equipment list, cropping or light retouching of photos. These changes do not alter the recipe itself or its attribution.
An approved recipe may be included in the general catalog of the Services, with its photos. It is then presented as a catalog recipe, while keeping its author’s credit. You may object to this, or ask for it to be removed, at the address above.

Any reproduction, imitation or adaptation, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written permission.
The recipe database is the result of a substantial investment and is protected under database producers’ rights (art. L.341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code). The following are prohibited:
Recipes are provided for strictly personal and private use (home cooking). Any reproduction, distribution, resale, republication or commercial use, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written permission. Any violation may result in legal action.
Any content can be reported. You can also block another user. Reported illegal content is removed without delay, and within 24 hours at the latest.
Single point of contact, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services, for any notice of illegal content, any request from an authority and any challenge to a moderation decision: [email protected]. Language of communication: French.
If any of your content is refused or removed, you are informed of the reason, and you may challenge the decision at the same address.
You can delete your account at any time from the Services. The request is confirmed with a code sent by email, then the account is deactivated and permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period, which lets you change your mind.
At the end of this period:
This anonymized retention is because this content is part of exchanges with other members and, for recipes, of the catalog of the Services. If you want published content removed outright, ask before deleting your account, or write to us at [email protected].
Details of the data processed and how long it is kept can be found in our privacy policy.
You can sign up for our newsletter. Your email address is then used only to send it to you. Your subscription only takes effect after you confirm it via a link received by email: without that click, no message is sent to you. Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Your address is never sold, transferred or rented to anyone.
The Services may feature recipes for alcoholic drinks. They are intended for adults of legal drinking age. Alcohol abuse is dangerous to your health; drink responsibly.
Some recipes are generated by artificial intelligence. They are provided for guidance only: always check the ingredients, allergens, quantities and cooking times. We do not guarantee the accuracy of generated recipes.
The Services contain affiliate links (notably Amazon and online grocery retailers). If you buy through these links, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. These links are labeled and can be turned off in the settings.
If a premium offer is available, it is billed by the platform from which the App was installed: Google Play on Android, Apple’s App Store on iOS, under the terms shown at the time of purchase. Management, renewal and cancellation are handled from your Google account or your Apple account, as applicable. We do not collect any payment directly and do not store any bank details.
The Services are provided “as is”. We cannot be held liable for the consequences of misusing the recipes (allergies, preparation mistakes, etc.). You use the Services at your own risk.
We may change these terms. In the event of a substantial change, you will be informed in the Services or by email at least 15 days before it takes effect. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. If you do not accept the new terms, you may delete your account as described in article 7.
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
